Stories & Spotlights

Homecoming 2025 was a week full of creativity, connection, and fun at Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH)! From themed outfits to morning “Den Time” sessions, students, staff, and families came together virtually to celebrate school spirit.

Theme Days Brought the Energy

Each day had its own theme, kicking off with Overalls Day and ending with a full Purple Out on Friday! Students and staff showed their spirit by joining in:

  • Overalls Day: The perfect start to the week. TVAH staff and students logged in wearing their favorite overalls.
  • Glow vs. Glitter Day: Neon and glitter lit up the screen during live sessions.
  • Dynamic Duo Day: Friends and family members paired up for the ultimate twinsie moment.
  • Letter Look Alike Day: Creativity was on full display with outfits matching the first letter of students’ names.
  • Purple Out: Everyone came together in TVAH purple to close out Spirit Week.

Family Engagement from Day One

Our Family Engagement Ambassadors helped make the week a success by hosting morning “Den Time” sessions and encouraging students to participate in theme days together.

Taryl Ramirez, Family Engagement Ambassador:
“I had so much fun participating in the homecoming daily festivities while working remotely!! My favorite was twinsie dynamic duo day because I got to match with my daughters even though we live 100’s of miles from each other!!!!”

The enthusiasm from our staff and families helped make Homecoming Week a special experience for everyone involved.
