The Energy of Day One: TVAH Students, Families, and Teachers Launch a Bright New Year

The first day of school at Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH) was filled with excitement, curiosity, and fresh energy as students, families, and educators logged in to begin a new year of learning. 

From welcome activities to engaging lessons, the day was full of connection and anticipation. Teachers came prepared with interactive sessions, families felt supported from the very first login, and students showed their enthusiasm to dive into learning. 

Student Voices: Ready to Learn 

TVAH students brought their energy to day one and shared what they love most about school and what they look forward to this year: 

  • Za’Rhiya Narcisse, 6th grade student: “I am focused and ready to learn. I feel amazing about the 6th grade this year!” 
  • Miranda Angeles, student: “I am excited to meet my teacher and see my friends back in class. I love to play booklet and do quizzes with my classmates!” 
  • Richard Angeles, student: “I am excited to meet my teacher and my classmates. I love to play booklet – it’s my favorite activity to do in school!”

Teacher & Leader Perspectives 

Educators and school leaders shared the same excitement. Teachers kicked off their first lessons with creative activities that sparked curiosity and connection. 

  • Patrick Pollifrone – Interim 12th  Grade Principal: “I’m excited to be in the position to guide and support our Class of 2026 in their senior year. This final chapter of high school is a time to celebrate achievements, create lasting memories, and prepare for what’s ahead. Our seniors are leaders in our virtual school community, and the future of the greater world around us. We’re committed to making this year special as we move towards our shared goal of the graduation stage and all the earned celebration that entails!” 

Family Partnership from Day One 

TVAH is built on partnership with families, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Parents and guardians shared how strong communication, and structured start helped their students begin confidently. 

A Strong Start for a Strong Year 

With students excited, teachers prepared, and families supported, the 2025–26 school year is off to an inspiring start at TVAH. The first day set the tone for a year of learning, achievement, and community.
